Charles G. Johnson
Mr. Johnson's experience in lean thinking and Six Sigma spans more than 25 years. His career has included need identification and implementation of the LeanSixSigma methodology in manufacturing and transactional roles. In his most recent corporate capacity, Senior Director of Human Resources for Georgia-Pacific, Charlie was responsible for implementing organizational and executive development, competency development and succession planning. In a previous role at G-P he led the organizational change effort following a major hostile takeover.
His progressive career with Milliken Textiles, Continental Forest Industries, Stone Container, Engelhard Chemical and Georgia-Pacific Corporation has afforded him a thorough understanding of customer focus and value delivery, creating organization capability and molding corporate culture to optimize business results. As coach, mentor and counselor to senior executives and line organizations, Charlie has continually demonstrated a capacity to link strategic focus with tactical implementation.
Mr. Johnson joined Human Capital Associates in 1998 and has consulted internationally with leadership on change, value stream organization design and strategic deployment and with LeanSixSigma experts in identifying and eliminating waste and variation. In October 2000, he was named Vice President, Consulting.
Charlie received his BBA and MBA from the University of Georgia in Management and Marketing. He currently lives in the Atlanta area with his wife, Julienne, and their son, Chaz.
